Why Gutters are Important

Gutters play a very important role in the Eco system of the house. They are not only collect water from the roof of our home, but protect the walls and the wood, that holding the gutter itself. 
         As we can see on this picture, the leaking gutter  caused the serious damage to the plywood of the house. When the walls of the house in bad shape that invites many unwelcome guests into your house like Centipedes, spiders and carpenter ants. I think nobody wants to have free renters under the roof like these.
           So what do we have to do not to allow that to happen? Well the answer is like always is simple. We should maintain properly our gutters. 
Gutters should be cleaned at least once a year, when a lot of trees around the house it is better and cheaper to install gutter guards, than clean them twice a year. 
    When it is raining and you can see the rain water overflowing the gutter or drips from one of the end caps, it is better to address that problem without the procrastination. Just  flush the gutter with hose if it is clogged or put some silicone inside  the gutter end caps. All repairs should be done in dry conditions.
          Most of the times the existing gutters can be repaired without any need to replace with new ones. Only severely damaged gutters should be replaced with new ones. Lets say if only one gutter is damaged and leaking then you should replace only that section, but  whenever you have five leaks in different places of the house, then it is more prudent to replace all of the gutters. In this case it is gonna be cheaper as well.
